Shiawassee Smash Room  Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parent/legal guardian sign a waiver on their behalf (13 and older).

  • A valid government-issued photo ID may be required.

2. Waiver Requirement

  • Every participant must complete and sign a liability waiver before entering any activity area.

  • Participants between the ages of 13 and 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete and sign the waiver.

3. Health & Safety

By participating, you confirm that:

  • You are physically able to participate.

  • You are not pregnant.

  • You are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • You do not have any medical condition that could make participation unsafe.

  • You will immediately notify staff if you feel dizzy, unwell, or injured.

4. Required Safety Equipment

  • Protective coveralls, gloves, face shield, and any additional required PPE must be worn at all times.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Failure to wear required safety equipment may result in immediate removal without a refund.

5. Facility Rules

Participants agree to:

  • Follow all staff instructions.

  • Only smash designated items provided by Shiawassee Smash Room unless approved in advance.

  • Never throw objects at staff or other participants.

  • Stay within designated smashing areas.

  • Treat staff and other guests respectfully.

6. Damage to Property

Participants are responsible for any intentional or reckless damage to the facility, equipment, walls, doors, or safety equipment beyond normal use.

7. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be brought into the facility without prior approval:

  • Hazardous chemicals

  • Batteries or lithium-ion batteries

  • Firearms or ammunition

  • Explosives

  • Pressurized containers

  • Biohazard materials

  • Illegal substances

8. Clothing & Personal Belongings

  • Remove loose jewelry before participating.

  • Shiawassee Smash Room is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  • Participation may result in damage to clothing.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the reservation may be rescheduled.

  • No-shows and cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

  • Management reserves the right to reschedule bookings due to weather, equipment issues, or unforeseen circumstances.

10. Late Arrivals

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session.

  • Late arrivals may receive a shortened session or be required to reschedule, depending on availability.

11. Refusal of Service

Shiawassee Smash Room reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who:

  • Appears intoxicated or impaired.

  • Acts aggressively or unsafely.

  • Refuses to follow staff instructions.

  • Violates these Terms & Conditions.

12. Photo & Video Policy

Photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes. Guests may opt out by notifying staff before their session.

13. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that smash room activities involve inherent risks, including cuts, bruises, strains, flying debris, slips, falls, and other injuries. Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. 

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Shiawassee Smash Room shall not be liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation, except where prohibited by law. 

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
